Emotional Wellness
Stress and Emotional Wellness Counselling
This is support for people running on stress they have normalised — chronic overthinking, disturbed sleep, irritability, burnout and emotional overwhelm. Sessions combine a private space to unload with practical tools for regulating pressure day to day.
Online sessions across Punjab and India · Available in English, Punjabi, Hindi
Stress rarely announces itself. It shows up as a short temper, a stomach that will not settle, a mind that starts running the moment the lights go out, and the belief that this is simply what adult life feels like.
The work here is twofold: reducing what is genuinely reducible, and building the capacity to carry what is not.
Who this is for
- People who cannot switch off at the end of the day
- Students and professionals working under sustained pressure
- Anyone whose sleep, appetite or temper has changed
- People carrying family or financial responsibility alone
- Anyone who feels emotionally flat, tense or on edge most days
What we work on
The overthinking engine
Why the mind speeds up at night, and what actually slows it — beyond being told to relax.
Burnout
Recognising the difference between tiredness and depletion, and rebuilding from the second one.
Emotional regulation
Noticing pressure early enough to do something about it, rather than at the point of an outburst.
Boundaries and load
Auditing what you have taken on, and where a genuine no is possible.
How the work is structured
1. Map the load
An honest inventory of everything currently on you, including what you have stopped counting.
2. Relieve pressure
Immediate, practical changes to sleep, routine and the specific triggers we identify.
3. Build tools
A small set of grounding and regulation practices that fit your day, not an ideal one.
4. Sustain it
Reviewing what held and what slipped, and adjusting accordingly.
What you can realistically expect
This is non-clinical support. It does not treat anxiety disorders or depression, and it is not a substitute for medical care — but for pressure that has not become clinical, it makes a measurable difference.
- A clear picture of where your pressure actually comes from
- Two or three tools you will genuinely use
- Somewhere to unload without worrying anyone
- A direct referral if what you are describing needs clinical assessment
Frequently asked questions
- How do I know if this is stress or something clinical?
- As a general guide, stress usually eases when circumstances ease. When low mood, anxiety or hopelessness persist regardless of circumstances, or interfere with daily functioning, that warrants assessment by a qualified mental-health professional. If I see that pattern, I will tell you plainly.
- Can you help with sleep problems?
- Where poor sleep is driven by worry and an unmanaged mental load, yes. Where it may have a medical cause, the right first step is a doctor.
- Do I need a diagnosis to book?
- No. Most clients here have no diagnosis and do not need one.
- Is this confidential?
- Everything discussed in a session stays private. Notes are minimal, never shared, and nothing is disclosed to family members or employers. The only exception is a situation involving immediate risk to life, which is handled in line with responsible practice.
