Mental Health Counselling in Punjab
Mental health counselling is a private, structured conversation for stress, low mood, anxiety-like worry, burnout and emotional exhaustion that has stopped lifting on its own. Sessions here are online across Punjab, held in Punjabi, Hindi or English, and are non-clinical — with a clear referral whenever medical or psychiatric care is the right step.

People in Punjab rarely book a counselling session at the beginning of a difficulty. They book after months of managing it alone — through work, through family duty, through the assumption that it will pass. By the time they call, the tiredness is usually the loudest symptom.
Counselling gives that pressure a scheduled, private place to go. It does not require a diagnosis, a referral, or a dramatic reason. Wanting to feel less exhausted is a sufficient reason.
When to consider mental health counselling
- Low mood or irritability that has lasted for weeks rather than days
- Worry that keeps you awake or interferes with work and relationships
- Burnout — doing everything and feeling nothing
- A loss, a shock or a change that you have not been able to process
- Feeling like you are managing everyone else and nobody is asking about you
What sessions typically work on
Stress and overwhelm
Separating what is genuinely urgent from what merely feels urgent, then rebuilding a week that is survivable.
Sleep and rumination
The 2am replay loop. We work on what feeds it during the day rather than only on the night itself.
Emotional numbness
Long-running suppression that eventually flattens everything, including the good parts. Slow, careful work.
Isolation
Having people around but nobody to be honest with — extremely common, and it responds well to being named.
How the counselling process works
1. Reach out
Book a slot or send a question first. There is no intake form to complete before you are allowed to talk.
2. Understanding
The first session maps what is happening, how long for, and what has already been tried.
3. Ongoing work
Regular sessions build practical strategies for stress, sleep, boundaries and emotional load.
4. Escalation when needed
If symptoms suggest clinical depression, an anxiety disorder or any risk, you are referred to a registered clinician — immediately and without hesitation.
Honest expectations
Counselling is not a substitute for psychiatric treatment and this practice will never present it as one. Within its scope, it offers something quite specific: reliable attention, practical structure, and someone who will tell you the truth kindly.
- A private hour that belongs to you
- Practical strategies you can use the same week
- Gradual, real change rather than a sudden breakthrough
- Clear signposting to clinical or emergency care when appropriate
Frequently asked questions
- When should I consider mental health counselling?
- A useful test: if the difficulty has lasted more than a few weeks, is affecting your sleep, work or relationships, and talking to friends has stopped helping, counselling is a reasonable next step. You do not need to be in crisis to qualify.
- Is counselling confidential in a small community?
- Yes, and it is the reason sessions are online. Nothing is disclosed to family or employers, no records are shared, and there is no waiting room where you might be recognised.
- Can counselling replace medication or psychiatric treatment?
- No. If you are under psychiatric care, counselling can run alongside it, but it never replaces it. Do not stop prescribed medication based on anything discussed in a coaching or counselling session.
- What if I am in crisis right now?
- Please contact your local emergency services or a national crisis helpline immediately. This website does not provide emergency or crisis services and sessions are by appointment only.
- How much does a session cost?
- Session and programme pricing is listed openly on the booking page, from a single session through to multi-week programmes. There are no hidden charges added afterwards.
